As much as I absolutely love trying out new skincare brands, I’ve found a few favorites over the years that I tend to return to time and time again. The other night, I was reorganizing my skincare and noticed that a number of my must-haves come from the same brand; OROGOLD Cosmetics. If you’ve never heard of them before…listen up! Their gold-infused products are well worth trying, and I’m about to tell you why…
Who is OROGOLD Cosmetics?
OROGOLD Cosmetics has been around for a while now – since 2008, to be precise. The brand’s roots lie in the USA but OROGOLD stores can be found all over the world. That’s exactly how I discovered the brand – shopping while on vacation in Singapore!
As you can tell from the name, OROGOLD is all about gold-infused cosmetics. I’ll admit – I thought that this sounded a bit scammy at first. However, a deeper dive into the benefits of gold in skincare opened my eyes to a whole new world.
Over the years, other brands have tried to jump onto the gold skincare bandwagon but OROGOLD Cosmetics has always managed to stay one step ahead. They’re constantly introducing new skincare lines that feature the most cutting-edge ingredients and delivery methods, yet every new formula still boasts the power of gold.
Ok, enough about the brand – let’s take a closer look at some of OROGOLD’s most advanced skincare collections:
Golden Glow: Innovative Skincare at its Finest
The Golden Glow collection is the latest line of OROGOLD products to hit the shelves. It consists of just three products, each one highlighting the brand’s innovative nature.
Being a bit of a self-confessed OROGOLD fangirl, I ordered the 24K Golden Dew Serum-in-Cream and the 24K Skin Balancing Mask Stick as soon as they were released. The serum-in-cream has a gorgeous texture – extremely lightweight and fast-absorbing, but incredibly hydrating. It quickly became my go-to day moisturizer over the summer months.
The mask stick is just as impressive. It’s basically a face mask in stick form, making it a game-changer for anyone who likes to multi-mask.
Vitamin C: Everyone’s Favorite Ingredient
Vitamin C has been in the limelight for a while now, so I was thrilled when OROGOLD launched their Vitamin C collection. It consists of two products; the 24K Vitamin C Facial Cleanser and the 24K Vitamin C Booster Facial Serum, and yes, I have them both!
The cleanser contains some amazing ingredients. I bought it in the hopes that it would make my pores look smaller, and it most certainly has. I have combination skin and find that it works brilliantly on both my dry and oily areas – something that most other cleansers fail to do.
As for the serum? Let’s face it – there’s no shortage of vitamin C serums on the market. However, none of them managed to lighten the look of my dark spots quite as effectively as this one has. A few weeks after I started using it, I noticed that my face was feeling smoother and softer too. I always wait a couple of months in between introducing new products to my skincare routine, so I’m pretty confident that this is the product that was responsible for those improvements!
Cannabis Golden Leaf: Harnessing Hemp
Many of OROGOLD’s collections are focused around a certain ingredient. In the case of the Cannabis Golden Leaf collection, hemp seed oil is the star of the show.
Hemp’s health benefits have been understood for a while now, but the ingredient’s beauty benefits have only recently come to light. It’s one of the best ingredients out there for restoring, rejuvenating, and rebalancing the feel of the skin, and can be safely used on all skin types.
There are three products in this collection, but the one that I decided to treat my skin to was the 24K Ultra Day Moisturizer (I do intend on trying the serum and mask at some point too!). This cream is absolute bliss. It feels so deeply hydrating, which isn’t surprising when you see the many hydrating ingredients that have gone into it. Seaweed extract, hemp seed oil, sodium hyaluronate, peptides…the list goes on! It may be designed for daytime use but I sometimes use it at night too when my skin needs an extra hydration boost.
White Gold: Exquisite Everyday Essentials
OROGOLD’s White Gold collection is a classic. This is where you’ll find the brand’s everyday essentials. You could put together an entire skincare routine just from the products in this collection.
I’ve tried several of the products from this collection over the years, but there are two that I can’t live without; the 24K Purifying Toner and the 24K Skin Tone SPF 30.
I never used to use a toner before trying this one, and I was quickly hooked. I’ve sampled others since then but none seem to feel quite as hydrating and refreshing as this one does.
The 24K Skin Tone SPF 30 is a two-in-one product. It acts as both a moisturizer and a sunscreen, which saves me a step in my morning skincare routine. I actually have two jars of this cream – I keep one at my desk at work so that I can top up my SPF throughout the day. Unlike the sunscreens that I’ve used in the past, this one doesn’t feel thick or heavy, and I love that it actually moisturizes my skin at the same time.
