At the start of the year, one of my New Year’s resolutions was to try a different haircare brand each month. As the months progressed, I discovered a few intriguing products, but none of them really blew me away. At least, until November came around…

Evalectric was my brand of the month and I gave four of their haircare products a try; a shampoo, a conditioner, a hair spray, and a hair serum. Read on to find out how each one performed on my wavy and often dry hair:

The Evalectric Hair Serum

Hair Serum

I’ve used at least eight different hair serums over the course of the year, so I’ve tried my fair share of formulas that have left my hair feeling sticky and heavy. This is where the Evalectric Hair Serum stands out – you really can’t feel that it’s there!

I use this serum in two ways. I apply it to my freshly washed hair once it’s about half dry, and then comb it through. Once my hair has completely dried, it feels amazingly soft and silky. There’s no residue from the serum whatsoever, so I’m guessing that it absorbs much more effectively than other hair serums that I’ve used.

I also apply this serum to my hair after I’ve straightened it. I live in a humid environment and my perfectly straightened hair can go from flawless to frizzy in a few seconds flat once I step outside. This serum has completely changed that. I smooth a very small amount down onto my hair and comb it in. The sleekness lasts for hours and my hair looks beautifully glossy.

All in all, 5/5 for this hair serum. I’ve never used a better one and I don’t expect that I will!

The Evalectric Extreme Hold Hair Spray

Extreme Hold Hair Spray

Like I said, my hair can turn frizzy very quickly. Because of this, I usually avoid hair sprays. They always seem to make things even worse! So, although I was hesitant about the Evalectric Extreme Hold Hair Spray, I stuck with my resolution of trying new things and gave it a go.

The results? Pretty impressive! I use it whenever my hair is in an updo and it manages to hold everything in place perfectly. It doesn’t feel hard or stiff in the way that many other hair sprays do. My hair still feels incredibly soft, yet keeps the structure of the style that I’ve created.

And the frizz? Turns out I didn’t need to worry about this. The hair spray actually gives my hair a hydrated shine and keeps frizz and flyaways sealed in for hours. This could be down to the plant oils in the formula. Between olive and castor, this hair spray is surprisingly moisturizing, and it shows!

The Evalectric Moisturizing Shampoo

Shampoo

With my hair veering toward the dry side, I need to be very careful about the shampoos that I use. Over the past few months, I’ve tried several that have made my hair feel even drier, as well as unusually rough.

With that said, it only took one use of the Evalectric Moisturizing Shampoo for me to fall in love. This shampoo is exquisite, and that’s not an exaggeration! It has a perfect consistency – not too thick and not too watery – making it easy to distribute the product through hair.

Once it’s rinsed off, my hair feels incredibly soft. I always follow up with a conditioner but I have also tried using just the shampoo and my hair still feels silkier and more manageable than when I have used other shampoos on their own.

A glance at the ingredient list taught me that this shampoo is infused with argan oil. This is one of the best botanical ingredients to use on your hair. It’s super-hydrating, packed with antioxidants, and is known for how it can help to repair the look of damage and dryness, making it well-suited for me!

The Evalectric Moisturizing Conditioner

Conditioner

Just like Evalectric’s Moisturizing Shampoo, the Evalectric Moisturizing Conditioner also features argan oil as its star ingredient. This means that using the two products together gives your locks a double dose of the ingredient, which is amazing if your hair is lacking in any nutrients.

So, how well does the conditioner work? Just like with the shampoo, I was left impressed, although possibly even more so. Again, its texture is perfect and it spreads beautifully through my hair. I usually leave it on for about five minutes before rinsing my hair, but it works well when left on for less than this too.

Compared to other conditioners, this one has a noticeable effect on my frizz. My hair feels significantly smoother after using this conditioner – it almost feels as though I’ve just had an expensive hair treatment done at a hair salon!

I’ve also tried co-washing with this conditioner. This is when you wash your hair with just a conditioner instead of a shampoo, and, for me, it has worked wonders at countering the look of dryness. Over the past year, I’ve learned that not all conditioners are good for co-washing, but this one gets the job done to a high standard.

Is Evalectric Haircare Worth Buying?

As I mentioned earlier, my New Year’s resolution was to try haircare products from a new brand each month. Well, it’s now December and, even though I’m on my last month, I’ve decided to break my resolution and stick with Evalectric. The whole point of my trials over this year was to find a haircare brand that I can truly depend on, and now that I’ve found Evalectric, I don’t need to look any further.

Each of the four products that I’ve tried from this brand was truly superior to others that I’ve used. They’re high-quality, work perfectly, and, most importantly, leave my hair feeling touchably silky and smooth. If you’ve never tried Evalectric’s haircare products before, I would highly recommend checking out the brand’s online store and treating your locks to some pure luxury!
