Celestolite’s sleek, futuristic vibe has always appealed to me, yet I’ve never actually given the brand’s products a try. That is, until now…
After learning about the Celestolite Luna Collection on one of my favorite beauty blogs, I couldn’t resist. Boundary-pushing skincare that contains next-level yet proven ingredients? Yes, please!
Less than a week after hitting that often-dangerous ‘add to cart’ button, I had four gleaming Celestolite products in my hands. They certainly looked the part but would they actually work? Here are my thoughts after testing each one:
The Luna Lava Mask
Let’s start with the Luna Lava Mask since this is the first product from the Luna Collection that I used. It’s a clay mask…but with a difference. It contains thermal catalysts that are activated when the mask is massaged onto the skin. This causes the mask to gently heat up.
Noteworthy Ingredients
In addition to kaolin clay, which is known for soaking up excess sebum without drying out the skin, this mask contains several other superstars. Vitamins A, C, and E sit near the top of the ingredient list, meaning that it contains these antioxidants in hefty amounts. The vitamins are followed by a clever blend of botanical extracts. They not only hydrate but also provide important antioxidants of their own.
Does it Work?
This mask promises to give the skin a brighter and more radiant appearance, and it definitely manages to do so. This effect lasts for a couple of days after using the mask, making this a product that I really look forward to using. The thermal effects are a bonus too. They make the mask feel even more luxurious and satisfying!
The Luna Thermal Activator
The Luna Thermal Activator is a very interesting product. According to the Celestolite website, it’s designed to be used in conjunction with the Luna Lava Mask to intensify the heating effect. This helps the rest of the mask’s ingredients to sink into the skin more efficiently. However, take a look at this solution’s ingredient list and it also reads like a very promising serum when used as part of a daily skincare routine. So, I decided to test it as both.
Noteworthy Ingredients
There are some incredible ingredients in this solution. It brings together three different peptides, each one chosen to enhance the visible effects provided by the others. Together, they’re able to firm, plump, and smooth the look of the skin. This is backed up by the addition of sodium hyaluronate and glycerin. Both are known for being some of the best hydrating ingredients around.
Does it Work?
In terms of enhancing the mask’s thermal properties, yes, this solution really works! The mask becomes significantly warmer but still remains comfortable and relaxing. As a standalone serum, this product works really well too! It leaves my skin looking fuller and feeling fresher. It has a gorgeous silky consistency to it too.
The Luna Mineral Cream
Next up, the Luna Mineral Cream. This is one of two moisturizers in the Luna Collection. This one is all about purifying and reviving the look of the skin. With my skin having taken on a dull finish recently, I was excited to give this cream a try.
Noteworthy Ingredients
Let’s first talk about what isn’t in this cream. You’ll notice a lack of plant oils, with this cream hydrating with humectants instead. Interestingly, it also contains salicylic acid. It’s an ingredient that those of you with oily skin will be very familiar with. It’s a beta-hydroxy acid that clears out the pores. In this formula, it ensures that the cream locks in moisture without clogging up the pores.
Does it Work?
My favorite thing about this cream is its texture. It’s so light – you can’t feel it at all once you’ve applied it. It disappears into the skin quickly, leaving behind a glowy luminescence. It keeps my skin hydrated all day too. My skin feels soft and unbelievably supple, right up until I cleanse this cream off in the evening!
The Luna Luminous Touch
If you purchase the Luna Thermal Collection as a set, you’ll receive the above three products. However, there’s another add-on product that you can opt for; the Luna Luminous Touch. This moisturizer promises to do away with the appearance of imperfections while giving the skin a flawlessly matte finish.
Noteworthy Ingredients
Take a look at this cream’s ingredient list and you’ll be immediately impressed by its antioxidant content. From retinol and resveratrol to sea buckthorn and green tea leaf, it’s packed with a number of potent compounds. These are complemented by a blend of hydrating ingredients, including sodium hyaluronate and algae extract.
Does it Work?
I knew that I would fall in love with this cream after the very first time that I used it. It made my skin feel lusciously soft and left it looking much smoother too. Its moisturizing effects are pretty intense yet, again, it’s not a heavy cream. However, it’s still rich enough to be used as a night cream, which is exactly what I’ve been doing!
Is Celestolite’s Luna Collection Worth Buying?
Although the Celestolite Luna Collection doesn’t run cheap, these formulas easily justify those prices. Featuring cutting-edge ingredient combinations that take skincare to the next level, these products will quickly power up your routine, just as they did mine. I’ve been using them for several weeks now and love how much brighter and fuller my skin looks – so much so that I’ll soon be adding other Celestolite products to my skincare routine too.
