The best thing about fall is that we get to bust out our lightweight jackets! They’re not as burdensome as the bulky winter jackets, and can be a great accent for any outfit. I love layering in any way, and layering with a jacket is my very favorite.

So now it’s time to see what designers have made for us for Fall 2015.

Fur is going to be everywhere this season, helping you to keep cozy while looking classy. From full on fur coats like the ones on the runways at Michael Kors, Tibi and Rodarte, to fur details on the hoods and/or pockets and sleeves, like we saw at Prabal Gurung, Altuzarra, and BCBG Max Azria. Everywhere you look, there’s going to be fur.

There were two lengths that were really killing it for the Fall 2015 fashion week looks. For this season’s length trends you’ll get to choose between the very long, duster length jackets or the short, boxy cropped jacket.

A long jacket is the perfect opportunity for you to get out your favorite pair of heeled boot, as the length really isn’t for us ladies who are on the shorter side. The cropped jackets that were on display all had a very retro 70s feel, with a loose-fitting, square-shaped cut and big collars. Pucci, Karen Walker, and Chloé all had fabulous takes on this throwback trend.

When it comes to fabric, plaid also made its presence known. Sticking with the throwback feel, plaids in brown and yellow were seen at Coach, throwing us back to the 70s once again with that formerly popular color scheme, and some plaid was also spotted at Creatures of the Wind.

Prints aren’t to be outdone though, with some interior-décor inspired wallpaperesque prints also spotted at Creatures of the Wind.

So for Fall 2015, we definitely do not lack for variety. There are different cuts and lengths to choose from while looking for our perfect fall jacket.
