The newest medical spa in Florida, Introlift prides itself on incorporating the latest cutting-edge technology in their skin treatments, offering unparalleled results.

What are the different types of technology that this revolutionary spa uses?

Here are six of the most effective:

Radio Frequency Technology

Radio frequency technology is used in a few different treatments at the Introlift Medical Spa, due to the way in which it has quite varying effects.

How exactly does radio frequency technology work on the skin?

Well, it is usually contained within a hand-held device. This is placed directly onto the surface of the skin, and emits a radio frequency energy that heats up the fat and tissues beneath the surface of the skin.

This heat has two main effects:

  • Breaking down fat, along with any cellulite
  • Tightening the skin tissues and boosting blood circulation to increase collagen production, and therefore skin elasticity, while also improving skin tone

This means that in addition to being used to treat the visible signs of aging, from wrinkles to loose skin, radio frequency technology can also help with shaping the face and body, providing a contouring effect.

There are a couple of dedicated radio frequency treatments offered by the Introlift Medical Spa, such as the Introlift RF Body Sculpting treatment. This targets any areas of concern on the face, arms, legs, buttocks and abdomen.

Since the downtime after using radio frequency technology on the skin is minimal, this technology has also been incorporated into other Introlift treatments, in order to boost the final results. The RF Aqua Facial Lift is a hydradermabrasion procedure that makes use of radio frequency technology for its tightening qualities, while the Collagen Regeneration Facial makes use of the same technology for its anti-aging effects.

LED Technology

As you can guess from its name, LED technology makes use of LED lights. This technology has been around for decades, having been developed by NASA for plant-growing experiments on the Space Shuttle in the 1980’s.

While this may be the case, LED technology has only recently made its way into the skin care world, and its incredible potential is something that the Introlift Medical Spa has full intentions of harnessing.

They do this with their LED light therapy treatments, which makes use of three different wavelengths, or colors, of light.

How does LED light therapy work on the skin?

Well, each wavelength, or color, of light targets skin cells at varying depths. Once the skin cells absorb this light energy, they convert it into a substance called ATP, or adenosine triphosphate.

What does ATP do?

This is the fuel that your skin cells use when carrying out their many different functions, such as producing collagen and elastin. By providing each cell with an extra dose of energy, skin cells are able to function in the same way that they would have decades ago, when they were still young.

As mentioned earlier, different wavelengths of LED light target different layers of the skin, meaning that each light color has its own unique effect.

The three wavelengths used by the Introlift Medical Spa are:

  • Red Light – this brings about anti-aging benefits, thanks to the way in which it can increase the production of collagen by up to five times. This not only reduces fine lines and wrinkles, but also helps to increase skin firmness and elasticity, giving skin cells a plumper appearance
  • Amber Light – this is great for healing and rejuvenating the skin, with cellular activity increasing up to five times with amber light. This wavelength targets both the circulatory system and the lymphatic system, meaning that not only do skin cells become healthier and more nourished, but they are also able to detox to a far greater extent
  • Blue Light – ideal for those who suffer from acne, blue LED lights have anti-inflammatory effects. They are able to destroy the bacteria that would have otherwise led to breakouts, while also controlling the production of sebum, therefore preventing clogged pores and future breakouts

Got multiple skin issues that you need to target?

The different wavelengths of LED light can be used in conjunction with each other to bring about a wider range of results.

Wondering if LED light therapy actually works?

Yes, there are multiple studies out there that prove the skin-boosting effects of LED technology, making this a treatment well worth trying.

Stem Cell Technology

Stem cell technology has earned itself quite the reputation, thanks to the way in which it has the potential to treat such a wide range of medical conditions.

What exactly are stem cells?

They are biological cells that can basically turn into other types of cells, while also dividing to reproduce those same cells.

How does Introlift make use of stem cell technology?

Through their Micro-Needling with PRP treatment. This is a non-invasive face lift treatment that has become extremely popular due to the number of studies that have clinically-proven its benefits.

The treatment begins with microneedling, which involves inserting tiny, fine needles into the skin to create microscopic punctures.

Why would you want to do this?

Because these mini injuries trigger the skin into producing healing components, including collagen and elastin. In fact, research shows that collagen and elastin production can increase by up to 400% after four monthly microneedling treatments.

After you have undergone the microneedling treatment, Introlift will then withdraw a small sample of your blood.

This is where the stem cell technology comes in…

Your blood is then processed in order to create plasma rich platelets, also known as PRP. This is then applied topically over the skin, in order for the PRP to release growth factors and speed up the healing process even more.

The results are similar to that of an invasive face lift, except for the fact that this is a much safer alternative.

Laser Technology

Laser technology has progressed quite a bit in recent years, and there are now quite a few ways in which laser technology can be used to treat the skin.

Multiple laser treatments can be found at the new Introlift Medical Spa, each one using a specific type of laser to target various skin concerns.

One of the most popular Introlift treatments that makes use of laser technology is their Laser Skin Rejuvenation, which involves the Q-Switched laser. These innovative lasers produce a pulsed energy, sending this deep down into the skin.

What does this laser energy do once it’s in the skin?

It stimulates the production of collagen, helping to reduce fine lines, wrinkles and loose skin. It is also able to fade away dark spots and acne scars, doing all of this without causing any damage to the cells or tissues that surround the targeted area.

In addition to rejuvenating the skin, you likely already know about how lasers can be used for hair removal. This is another treatment offered at the Introlift Medical Spa.

The spa makes use of a three-wavelength laser to offer the most advanced option when it comes to laser technology for hair removal. The results are permanent and the sessions themselves don’t take much time at all, with this technology being safe for all skin types, skin tones and hair types.

How exactly does laser technology remove hair?

The laser energy heats up the dermis to a temperature that ends up damaging the hair follicles. This then prevents them from growing any hair.

Don’t worry, since the lasers are extremely specific when it comes to their targeted area, any surrounding tissue and cells remain free from damage.

Got a tattoo that you want removed?

This is something else that Introlift can help you with, again with the use of laser technology. The light produced by the laser breaks up the tattoo ink in the skin, turning this into multiple tiny particles instead. Over time, the skin ends up absorbing these, leaving the tattoo near to invisible.

How long does it take to fully remove a tattoo?

This depends on the following:

  • The size of your tattoo
  • The colors of ink used
  • The type of ink used
  • The age of your tattoo

It usually takes around six to twelve treatments to remove a tattoo, and these treatments can be spread out as much as you want, whether it may be over the course of a few years or a few months.

For tattoos that feature many different colors, especially if turquoise is one of them, it can sometimes take up to 20 sessions to remove the ink.

Why?

Because different lasers need to be used for each ink color. Turquoise is the toughest color to target, since there isn’t yet a laser that can zap this away as effectively as they do with other colors.

Selective RFTM Technology

While you have probably heard of LED and laser technology before, Selective RFTM technology is something that few people are familiar with.

This is an extremely advanced and patented contactless technology that was designed to disrupt the fat cells that lie beneath the skin.

Introlift makes use of this technology in their BTL Vanquish treatment, which not only targets unwanted fat, but also loose and sagging skin.

How does it do this?

As the contactless device is passed over the skin, it emits a thermal energy that gently warms up the layer of fat being targeted. This then kills off any unwanted fat cells, whether this may be on the abdomen, arms, thighs or anywhere else.

Thanks to the large treatment area that this technology can target, a single treatment is all that many patients need, with this being able to reduce a waistline by up to four inches.

Wondering what the recovery period for this treatment is?

There isn’t one, with patients able to get back to every day life immediately after their treatment. However, Introlift does recommend that patients spend a bit of time doing some light walking after their treatment, as this encourages lymphatic drainage, meaning that the fat cells can be cleared from the body at a quicker rate.

Fibroblast Plasma Technology

Fibroblast plasma technology has been used for quite a while for cosmetic purposes in Europe, but it is still relatively new to North America.

What is it?

It is a revolutionary way to tighten and brighten the skin.

Client at Introlift medical spa

Introlift uses this technology in their Fibroblast Plasma Skin Tightening treatment, with a hand-held device that creates a plasma charge over the skin. This is in the form of a small electrical arc, which is directed at the targeted area of skin.

What does it do once it reaches the skin?

It instantly causes that part of the skin to retract and shrink, immediately giving your skin a tighter and smoother appearance.

Unlike other skin tightening treatments out there, fibroblast plasma technology physically reduces the volume of skin on your face or body, meaning that the effects will last for several years.

What sort of skin concerns can you treat with this technology?

Here are a few of the most common:

  • Eyelid tightening
  • Loose stomach skin
  • Tightening loose neck skin
  • Minimizing crows feet around the eyes
  • Reducing lines and wrinkles around the mouth
  • Minimizing loose skin on the knees and underneath the arms
  • Reducing the appearance of acne scars, skin tags and sun spots

The results are instant, although these will keep improving over the course of eight weeks, especially if you opt for regular treatments. However, don’t worry, as patients don’t usually need more than two treatments to target their skin laxity.

Are there any side effects?

Usually, yes. Even though this is a non-invasive treatment, side effects, such as swelling, may appear for the week following your treatment.

The latest advancements in technology mean that skin care treatments really have progressed so much. This is something that you can experience for yourself at the new Introlift Medical Spa, where the latest in cutting-edge technology is utilized in almost every single treatment available.
